The company has established a central referral lab, Chandan Specialty Lab at Biotechnology Park, Lucknow, which is the first of its kind in Uttar Pradesh. The laboratory is a combination of state-of-the-art equipment, global best practices and an extensive intellectual capital and has made Chandan a front-runner in the area of pathology lab services. The laboratory handles large number of samples a day comprising of hematological tests, biochemistry tests, infectious disease identification, immunological disorder or hormonal estimation, besides surgical specimens for cytological and histopathological examinations. Quality Assurance Program

Chandan’s quality assurance program enables a process oriented approach to ensure quality testing through use of standard operating procedures, management of documents and records, implementation of quality control, external quality assessment and robust internal audits. Our quality assurance program covers the entire value chain of our laboratory operations including technical, administrative and human factors affecting the quality of service are under control, by eliminating system deficiencies.

Our procedures ensures:-

• Use of Barcodes for sample collection, to eliminate pre-analytical errors.
• Use of fully automated analyzers that eliminate the chance of human error.
• Periodic calibration of all instruments and measuring devices.
• Daily running of Internal Quality Control (IQC) program including participation in international EQA programs from reputed institutions.
• Involvement of highly qualified, competent and dedicated professionals, in every step of the testing procedures.

Quality Assurance is maintained by monitoring aspects in pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical errors, periodic maintenance of equipment, and use of world class consumables and participation in EQAand IQC programs from reputed national and international institutions. All our staff members are well trained and are a part of our endeavor to maintain quality at every level. We maintain internal and external quality assurance program on regular basis.

Internal Quality Assurance Program

We ensure daily running of internal quality controls including low and high level from Bio-rad and other reputed companies and only after its successful run, patient samples are being tested.

The control charts (LJ charts) are being plotted for internal quality control and it is monitored for trends and shifts to have better control over testing system. The laboratory emphasizes over automation to avoid human errors, apart for its regular training programs which are done for skill upgradation.

External Quality Assurance Program

We also participate in EQAS programs from different EQA service provider like CMC Vellore, AIIMS, Bio-Rad laboratories andIAMM from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
